Status updates on my life (or day)!!

9/5/2026

Pretty standard weekend day! Played some minecraft with a friend , among other things... Just a relaxing day I guess ! Yayay!

9/4/2026

Had all my fun classes today, and had a awesome time doing it. Lunch at the dining hall was like... kinda lit today for some reason? So yea, pretty awesome day AND a start to a 3 day weekend!! Yippee!!

9/3/2026

Today I just had one class at 5pm, my least exciting class, but it was actually fine. Somehow talk of AI data centers managed to wake up this otherwise unenthused class and actually got them talking about Energy (which the class is about). Otherwise, pretty boring day but it was nice sleeping in on a weekday. Also I submitted a ton of job applications FINALLY. Also watched more Better Call Saul, we made it up to the episode before Chicanery, so we decided we'd watch that on Saturday with lunch, so I'm excited for that!

9/2/2026

Aside from the usual stuff, today I attended my dorm's hall government election. It wasn't quite what I was expecting... Took a while, but was relatively entertaining. With one candidate for president, it was like watching a populist uprising. In hall government. But overall it was a good time, I guess! Also had lunch with some of my brother's friends so I got to meet them, and had decent conversations in a class, so i talked to a lot of people. made the time pass a little slower (thankfully)

9/1/2026

First day of September! All my classes were again actually pretty cool, and I had another pretty good day! Today I took some time to actually organize my room and fold all my clothes and stuff, which felt nice to get back in the habit of doing that, and made me feel more organized. Yay!

8/31/2026

Really rough morning, lol... Woke up late, couldn't do the work I had planned to do this morning, and I had to run to deliver my brother's calculator, so that took even more time. Worst of all, while I was getting ready and putting my contacts in, I forgot my wallet in my room, which means I was locked out of it when I closed the door. So I was stuck without my backpack, with only my phone, glasses, and contacts case... Well, thankfully my brother was able to help me out, and my first class was actually really nice and made me feel a lot better. My class after that was nice too somehow. For dinner I ordered like, 12 chicken nuggets from this campus place, but I think they accidentally gave me 12 chicken tenders cuz like... they were massive? Anyways, after that rough morning, I ended up actually having a nice (and productive) day! And I drilled all the hiragana in to my skull for my Japanese class... that was something. And even more so than today, I'm looking forward to tomorrow, since it has all the classes I like.

8/30/2026

Another fun day! Still not very productive, but I was a little, and I'm feeling a lot better! Binged more Better Call Saul, had some good food, hung out with my brother, all good times... Looking forward to another week!!

8/29/2026

Happy to enjoy the weekend, I didn't really do much productive (and I'm still kind of feeling the same way as yesterday, somehow). At the least, I'm happy I could just take the edge off today and enjoy hanging around for a day. Tomorrow, I gotta work real hard. Hopefully I can work myself into some sort of a schedule, too. Oh well, atleast I had a fun day, right?

8/28/2026

Happy to finally put an end to the first week! Overall, I think it went alright class wise (which is really the only way I can look at it, haven't done too much else yet.) Today the classes went pretty good too, maybe the funnest day so far, so it makes me look forward to what's coming next. Over the weekend, I guess I'll just try to keep up with assignments and readings and whatnot. But I'm looking forward to having another weekend. Also gotta gop shopping sometime... I tried to pick up my books at the school bookstore, but for some reason one was missing, and they also sell notebooks and stuff, but none really to my liking, so I'll have to go out and pick up other stuff (like thumbtacks, since my room came with a corkboard thing, which is awesome.) And also I should get to looking for a job. Kinda need one, and kinda want one, hopefully it helps me feel like I'm not just wasting away.

Somehow, I'm feeling melancholic about something, but I can't really describe way. Just feel unfulfilled somehow, or like I'm going the wrong way. Well, I don't really know how to go any other way than the one I'm on. It's just a matter of getting myself to accept or change it in some way, that I can feel like I'm even being myself. Well, one step at a time, I guess.

8/27/2026

Today I saw a bunch of people chug gallons of milk for $250 dollars. What a time. Other than that, pretty boring day (with lots of really heavy sporadic rain, I went out for like 1 minute in it and I was soaked). Also I saw someone hurt outside my dorm, I hope they're okay.

8/26/2026

Another nice day, I finished both my classes and had a decent time, then I was able to actually have some time to do things I like (I binge washed season 1 of Better Call Saul and had fun). It was pretty refreshing, and thankfully, I only have 1 class tomorrow!! yippee!! otherwise, not really much to say besides the fact that i feel like im returning to some amount of feeling normal after summer and starting the semester

8/25/2026

Today went super well!! I was up since 12AM, but it gave me time to just destress and check out the rest of my dorm (which was really nice) and get ready for my classes. I had breakfast super early outside, and it felt really nice (but the bench i was sitting in stained my pants :< ). Then classes started, and they were all actually really cool and I got to talk to some cool people. After class I got lunch, which was also good, then fell asleep lol! but overall a really nice day, and hopefully a good omen for the rest of the semester. Well, I dont really have much else to write about, but I think tomorrow will be great as well!

8/24/2026

Today could have gone worse, but could have gone better. I was able to get some hold on my student account lifted, so thankfully I didn't get deregistered or anything, which was stressing me out since yesterday. I had to wake up really early to go do that, but since I was ALREADY up all night, I was borderline delirious by the time it came. But anyway, we got that cleared, then me and my brother got breakfast, which all things considered, was pretty good. Then my brother went to class at 9:30, I had class at 11, and everything was going well there. After my class I was still pretty wiped out, so I fell asleep. I kept waking up for various reasons for a few minutes, it kinda sucked. My next class was at 5 PM so I had set a few alarms, but unfortunately, they didn't help. I woke up one time, and it was like 5:25 PM so I flung out the door in a panic, 30 minutes late... at least my professor was cool about it, and I didn't seem to have missed anything too important (seems to be a bit of a dull class) but it's still embarassing to be late on the first day, and a bad impression. Seriously, I can't believe it happened. Then, after class, I fell back asleep until like 12 AM... only to find out my dorm had a mandatory meeting at 7 PM. The message was sent like 10 minutes after I went back to sleep after my class, which sucks. A lot. I wish they would have sent that or notified us sooner, or something, but really the blame is on me for having that fucked up sleep. But still. It sucks.

I must say, I wish I could say that this semester was off to a good start. But it's just the first day of classes, so hopefully this rocky start is the worst of it, and once I'm more into the regular schedule, things work out better. I definitely am looking forward to tomorrow more than I was looking forward today. It's when I have the classes I'm actually interested in, and there's no 5 PM class for me to sleep through. Hopefully the places I applied to for a job get back to me, and then hopefully I can start getting my brother to come to the gym with me, and I can actually feel like I'm being productive up here. Since I've gotten here its just been a blur of sleeping and stressing. Well, it hasn't been all bad, I guess, I just hope it can settle down into atleast feeling regular. Not sure why this year is being harder for me. Well, complaining over, tomorrow will be better I'm sure. Check out the song if you wanna!

8/23/2026

Well, it's my first status update in way over a year. I can't believe last time I updated this site I was worried about tests in High School. And apparently stressing about some English project. Which I have no memory of. Why did I do that to myself. Anyway, it's definitely a weird time to see so clearly in writing, where the stakes were so low, and then the just blitz through my first year of College. Well, to fill in the blank of the year since I left off, I passed 2 of my AP tests but failed my French one (lol), graduated High School, went to stay in the Carolinas in the summer, went to college, and finished the 2 semesters of my Freshman year, which went by pretty quick in retrospect. There was a lot of fun, and some stress, but really it was a good time which I'm already nostalgic for. It's too bad I didn't write about it at all for me to look back on, but, it is what it is. This year I wanted to amend that, at least for a minute. My plan is to write an entry every day for the first month of school, and share a song recommendation as well (check it out!)

Anyway, I'm actually writing this at like 5 AM on the 24th. I planned to do my first entry on the 23rd, but was busy and I hadn't set up my new website, so it didn't work out. But I had time, so I got to work on it, and here we are. Today I packed and went off to my second year of College. I was sad to leave summer behind, but excited to at least be doing something. Packing was a little tumultuous, with rain and other problems, but the trip went okay, and I unloaded into my new room with my twin brother. (who I'm dorming with! yay!) Thankfully, our dorm is WAY nicer than last year's, which was pretty rough in many ways. This new one is cool enough. Some guys helped move us in, which I didn't expect, and they made it go super fast. After that, I spent the rest of the day pretty much setting up my room, then falling asleep.

Tomorrow (or rather, today, in like 6 hours) is the first day of classes. Hopefully everything goes well there, and I can decompress a little and stop worrying about everything. But yea. That's everything I have to say right now... I'm pretty tired,, but gotta up soon so.. hopefully it isn't a problem. I'll try to get the next update out around the end of the day !

-OLD STATUSES-

5/18/2025

Wow, been forever since I updated this site. Almost a whole month. Crazy how time goes by. Well, anyways, not much has happened in that time. Well, I mean, I guess that's not entirely true. The aforementioned AP tests are finally done! Just finished 'em last week. I think I did decent on all of them, good enough to pass for sure, and that's all that matters. Happy that's finally behind me! And while the workload of school HAS gotten a little lighter, it's uh, still not very light, which is a bummer. I'm actually kinda stressing over English class projects again, on a Sunday, the day before it's due. Just like last time I was making my site! Well, this one isn't as bad at least, not yet. I still have time for the REAL project.

But yeah. I haven't really felt much like doing much website making. Just been grooving along. Playing some silly games, watching my brother play Stardew Valley, talking to friends. Not giving either enough attention, probably. Oh well. Well, on Mother's Day, I went to a carnival, which was pretty cool. There were rides, like a little rollercoaster, and uh, a ferris wheel. Other stuff too but I dunno how to describe them. I dunno if it's like, a common amusement park thing, but I know they had it at Six Flags where I went, and they had something similar here. It's like a boat, and they swing it around so you're like, seated perpendicular to the ground, like you're about to fall. I was worried my glasses would fall off. Then there was another, kinda similar, but they swung us around during it as well. It was like that teacup one where it spins around, if it was way faster and you were swung around and 60 feet in the air. Then there was another where, honestly, I don't remember, but it was pretty thrilling. I was strapped in and pretty much just soared through the skies. It was a little scary, but honestly too cool to be THAT scary. It was like I was superman. Then the last one was like, the strapped us in a little chamber, spun the chamber all around, and put it on like, a chain that the chambers would ride on. And then that chain spun around as well. I'M REALLY BAD AT DESCRIBING THESE... OK so... Actually, here's a gif. I'll do a gif for all of them.

That's Zipper. The one in the chamber I just tried to describe.

This is Delusion. The one that made me feel like superman. It seems horrible from this perspective honestly, so I'm like... kind of a badass for not being scared.

And this is Dream Catcher. Which spun me around while swinging me.

I got these from the website of the fair I went to, so sorry if the framerate is low and you can't tell what's going on. All and all, it was pretty fun and thrilling, and yes, scary. But I think I'm a little over that fear. A little. I did other things there, there were tons of rides, but those three were the highlights for me. I also had like, boba milk. Aww... That reminds me. The boba tea guy had like, a college fund tip jar and he drew like, little anime girls on it. And :3s. It was fire, I wanted to tip him, but I didn't have any cash, and neither did my brother. The boba was really good though, I got like, some oreo boba milk thing. For dinner I had nachos grande, and they were pretty good, buuut I regret not getting something else. And I had lemonade there too, which was delicious. Only problem was, everything was over 10 dollars. Well, for the experience, I'd say it was worth it. Then there were some shows, they were, eh. Kinda cool, kinda not, but I appreciated the artistry behind it. The audience in general... did not. Claps were sparse. I felt bad. There were these guys who rode bikes on tightropes, and motorcycles in this little like, metal mesh sphere. It went hard. And then there were the carnival games, I played like, one where I threw darts at balloons. That was easy. Then one where I shot a pellet gun at a target, that one was NOT easy. I'm not good at shooting it turns out. That reminds me, there was also some like hardcore republican vendor with like shirts about Trump and GOD, GUNS, and... I think it was freedom? All that kind of stuff. That was unexpected. Oh yeah, and there was just a normal ferris wheel. That was nice. Well, that was my carnival experience. I've been itching to go on some scary thrilling rides for a while, so I'm glad that was finally answered. I went home with a headache though, lol. Oh yeah, and I'm went to see an eye doctor so I can get new glasses. Can't wait to see in 20/20 again!

Well, anyways, I was feeling kind of bummed out today. Updating my website a little did help a little actually though. I wonder what next to do with this website ! Well, anyways, that's all that's really been going on, I guess ! Not very eventful, but action enough for me lol.

4/26/2025

Woof. What a week. I stayed pretty busy on that Sunday, and ended up getting all the work I needed to do on time. I did have to stay up until like, 1:30am though. Oh well. Also during that week, I gave three presentations I was pretty stressed about, but they all ended up being alright. And, now they're over. Next week is the last full week before exams. I am a little nervous, but honestly, excited, because I think I'll do pretty well on them, and at the end of the day, atleast they will be over.

All in all, it was a pretty busy week, and I didn't really end up having much motivation to update my website as I thought I would. I guess motivation the free time that a week off gives you was gone once I didn't have the week off. Which is a little disappointing, but still, I'm proud of what I've done on this website, and it scratched the creative itch I felt. I'm also happy I have a place to put my ideas, if I have them. I also watched some of RWBY, and I wanna watch more when I have time. Speaking of time, school is almost over, so maybe when summer rolls around, I will be back to avidly working on my website. We'll see.

Anyways, I did a lot of work on the website, and so, let's look back on the checklist I made last entry. I finally added those pictures to the games page. I also added a few more games that I was playing through, or wanted to try. I also finished the mahjong tutorial. And, at least a little, the website become more mobile accesible. I think it's about as good as I care to get it. It's obviously not OPTIMIZED for mobile, but I'm pretty sure it won't break anymore. The problem was I set my flex boxes to a specific height, which would make it so that on mobile, the flex boxes wouldn't resize to the contents, and so, the whole thing would just spill out. That should no longer be a problem. The Yakuza retrospective is still quite an undertaking, and I'm not sure when I'll get around to finishing it, but I will readd a link to it, from the Games page. Well, thanks for reading this update, and for checking my website, I'm not sure how frequently updates will be in the future, but I'll try my best, cuz it's fun.

I keep thinking about things to put on this website, and most of my ideas are... honestly not great. But I figured this would be a cool one. I think I'm naturally "performative," which isn't to say I'm any good at it, but I function as if someone is watching. Even when no one is... It's something I noticed when I started my journal as well. I'd write as if someone was going to read it one day. Now, if I put it on my website, maybe someone WILL read it someday! Which is kinda cool. I mean, I don't know if it's necessarily LIKELY someone will read this, but a phrase I've been using is an "imaginary audience." So, to my imaginary audience, I thought it would be cool to make a new journal of sorts, where I talk about my life. Perhaps this way I can eventually say everything I wanted to say, but couldn't figure out how.

This week I had off from school. Which was cool. I sadly didn't do much of value this week though. I mean, I made this website, so that's something cool. And honestly I've sunk a lot of time in to this website lol . At the very least, a lot of time thinking about it. I actually have an English project due Monday... but it's Saturday night. Uh oh. Tomorrow is gonna be tough, lol. And what's messed up, is that project involved making a website. Not like this though. I'm supposed to use Google Sites, which is just like, drag and drop. Not very cool. Probably easier. Buuut I just have had no motivation. Anyways, if I can get it done tomorrow, then no harm done.

Honestly, I'm pretty excited for this school year to be over. My AP tests (which for people unfamiliar, are tests that, if you get good grades, can count as a college credits) are gonna be done in mid May, so that's pretty much the end of the year for me. Which is just one month away. It is a little scary that the exams are coming up, but I'm ready for it all to be over. I'm ready to just relax and exist without too much worries.

Anyways, before I end this entry, I wanna make a checklist of things I wanna do for this website. This will be the first time I actually use HTML's list function lol. But I probably will not do any of that tomorrow. And then the day after tomorrow, I have school, so we'll see. Also, I've been spending too much time on the 'puter recently, so i should try to reduce that. have a happy Easter if you celebrate it, and just a happy Sunday if you dont!
